Doctor Who Card Game - The Tenth Doctor

As previewed earlier in the week by Cubicle 7 Entertainment, here's one of the images I made for the new edition of the Doctor Who Card Game. This is of course The Tenth Doctor.

These are interesting images to make, because by necessity they make such strong use of photographs. Some are gridded up and closely copied. With others the photos are directly painted over, and then once the likeness is locked in I usually add more paint work to everso slightly pull the image away from the photo to be more painterly. 

I think it makes interesting images, and brings something to the game that other Who card games that just use stills don't. It's especially helpful to add that bit of stylisation to help create narratives in the game, where different characters, locations and monsters all need to work in multiple combinations to tell new stories.
