Wow - a piece of painting by me for me. A very rare occurence!

A bit of a fantasy standard - red dragon vs adventurers. Can't beat the classics, eh?

This one was really painted to be printed rather large, so the characters can't really be seen in all their glory on screen, sadly.

Sketched in Photoshop very quickly, painted rather more slowly in Painter.

Haha, definetely a classic.

The title gives it humour too so it gave me another perspective. I see a bit frustration in the warrior. "Damn you! I'm the one with the armour and the low dexterity but you high-ranged agile heroes always send me forward! Why do I have the initiative all the time! Do you carry those daggers and scythes just to show off! Swing them a little bit sometimes, godsdammit! And watch out you love-for-green-archer! Don't point that thing to me! I don't have a apple on my head! There is a huge red-like-apple dragon just right before me and you are still aiming at me!"

I'm sorry I can't stop laughing.

I'm not making fun of the picture! (Just to make it clear.) Just my imagination.

The picture is unbelievably beautiful. Definetely a fave.

God, I forgot to comment right didn't I? I don't really know why but I always look at the backgrounds I loved it! Especially the watchpost at the back. It's "clean" (that's the most close adjective compatible with my idea...) and smooth. The lighting is really beautiful. (Or it is to my eye.) I really liked the most-seen texture you used on the sky. The mood given by the colours is perfect for the place. I'd like to go there. I prefer with the dragon.

But I wouldn't like the adventurers to get hurt either. Let them get along.

You are the DM right?

I'd have loved the dragon more with scales, his/hers chest looks like only muscle. Tough it's nice, it is really a disadvantage to the dragon. Dragons should have scales to defend the body against spells and weapons. Tough I loved the glow in the eye a lot! I loved the adventurers too. They look simple but it's shown there's much effort for them. Only thing I'm seeing as a flaw is the ranger's hair. It's movement is the opposite way as I see it. I don't think he is going *down* the stairs with an aim. I don't think he has that much dexterity. It not good for the range either.

...Wow, I'm not a good commenter but I got chatty a lot. I think that has given me another emotion for the piece.

Thanks for the very generous comment! And no worries, I know you're just having fun with the ideas rather than making fun of the image! I think the same kinds of things myself! I think its half the fun of fantasy of this kind!
