Very nice example. Just a few comments;
The sword is on the wrong side and shouldn't dangle about. The shields dont have points sticking out on the edges.
Sorry for being a pain in the butt, but just giving some hints if u want it historacally correct. I do Roman historical reenactment and if u want do a search on LEG II AVG
Good job altogether :)

Looks amazing.I want ot draw recently a roman soldier too.But it is complicated with all the detail on the armor.

One nitpick: The sword's on the wrong side, for a legionary. Since the helmet has no crest, he ain't an officer, and thus, the sword ought to be on his right.

your attention to detail is very convincing, er.. wait.. the word convincing ain't good enough, how about ... striking? hahah.. :D
The roman possess the austere yet spartan look (the haircut & sandals) and his gears look very BC as well! Great illustration!
