when I first saw this I exclaimed: "OH MY! it's a chinese lady with a giant lollypop!! *gasp*
But now seeing it close up with all this detail I can see it's alot prettier then that. There're a certain feeling I can't place when I look at it, but it's a good feeling. But It's beautiful, though I can't understand the exploding columns and how their floating, but there's probably a reason. However the amoutn of detail combined with the rougher hazier aspets of it make it look beautiful.
Superbly painted, it has a nice rough, big brush feel to it. The mountains in the back are beautiful. Great fading colours for the flying pillars as they recede in the distance (I never think of doing that the few times I do colors, d'oh!) and a lovely lady. I like the composition too- you didn't put her squarely in the middle of the frame.
